5’8” Spinner flextail bonzer fish

FOR SALE SOLD This board was made for the European Fish Fry. 5’8” x 20 1/4” x 2 5/8” flextail. New EVO4 Fish set up with American Ash Medium front runners and the new TS Foil LokBox cutaway keel-fish fins… Bernoulli double concaves throughout and bonzer feeder channels between the fins… Metallic copper/bronze deck and rails, clear bottom, double pinlines both sides and a full gloss and polish to finish it all off.

This has probably been one of the most complex boards I have done, at every stage from the shaping of the concaves and the tail through to glassing with the metallic pigment and the sanding issues that always follow with reverse laps… the results however I am really pleased with. Big thanks to Adam for help with the LokBox, Daz for sanding an polishing and Chris for the pinlines.

          

The board should fly in everything from waist to a bit overhead and has the wave catching and speed of a fish, but manoeuvrability of a high performance shortboard… Full reviews coming soon if someone doesn't snap it up.

Was time to finally finish this one off, next a new resin tint with some unusual pigment i found.

I’m really loving this board… its a little bit fish, a little bit bar of soap, a little bit bonzer, a little bit hydrodynamic. I’m having a foil of my own made up for this board and they will be available to buy at the Fish Fry at Crackies in September or by mail. I’ll post the template another day.

This board isn’t quite finished as I still have to shape the tail and do the fish cut… but the shaping room is booked for late next week to do this and the new Porpoise, so more pics soon. Absolutely loved shaping this and everything went beautifully from the beak nose the the rails.

Bernoulli’s principles are the inspiration for the curved concave bottom contours that compress the water under the front foot and then release the pressure through the rear which according to the math will make it VERY quick…

Sprat FOR SALE

5’8 x 19 7/8 x 2 5/8” VORTEX bonzer bottomed Sprat is up for sale. Loving this board… it really is amazing (to me) that i can ride it, it being so short and me so heavy (13 1/2 stone). It is fast and loose and I've tested it in well overhead surf which, even more amazingly, it loved and I loved how it surfed. I’m putting it up for sale due to the new Indo quiver so it will be a great board for anyone looking to move onto a shorter board to get a bit more radical. Can ride as a thruster or quad and will come with whichever set up you prefer. This design really changes how you think about what you can ride. So £175 will get this SPRAT. It has a pretty well depressed tail area but has stood up to my weight and has plenty of life left in it. Small ding on the rail and one on the bottom – all will be fixed for collection. 5’8 x 19 7/8 x 2 5/8” Sprat with bonzer bottom. Set up with FCS quad SF4s or as FCS thruster with G5s
Double concave vortex channel set into a single concave leads into a double concave V with double concave channels set inside to guide the water out the back into a slight single concave. Gentle rocker with a flip in the tail. Beak nose for easier wave catching. 
I rode this for the first time last night and was amazed i could actually catch waves on it… it was stable on take off and drivey across the face – the waves were s**t but first impressions were good :). It’s now being tested out by a few of the Connies crew to get some feedback.
